Walking to the Lord

Months of preparation for the 29 members of the First Communion Class at St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace culminated recently with their receiving the Eucharist from Father Patrick Collum, pastor, and Father Matthew Johnston, parochial vicar.

Catechist Cathy Tramonte, above, adjusts the bow tie of Davis St. Pierre and then leads the class over to the church for their first encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist.
