The Vocation Office of the Archdiocese of New Orleans will host a vocation camp Aug. 3-5 at Camp Abbey in Covington for boys and girls from fifth through seventh grade.
The second annual camp will include fun activities, crafts, prayer and swimming.
The camp will be staffed by alumni of St. John Prep and their families. It will include sisters and brothers of various religious communities as well as priests, deacons and seminarians. Archbishop Gregory Aymond will participate in part of the camp.
Room is available for parents, provided they have taken the safe environment training offered by the archdiocese.
For more information, call the Vocation Office at 861-6298 or e-mail [email protected]. The office also is available to receive messages at the NOLA Vocations Facebook page.
The camp is free, but donations will be accepted to support the ongoing efforts of the Office of Vocations and Office of Religious to promote a culture of vocations.
