Ursuline Academy Uptown inducted 47 high school students into four nationally-recognized honor societies on Oct. 27: Mu Alpha Theta, the National Art Honor Society, the National Honor Society, and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Before each induction, students spoke about the origin of and meaning behind each honor society, its importance to our students and our community, and the outstanding qualities required of each member. After receiving special certificates and pins, the girls took the pledge of each honor society, promising to uphold its values and purpose. Two students, Marie Foret and Ashley Doan, were inducted into all four honor societies. Across the Ursuline Academy High School, 27 percent of the student body is in at least one honor society.
