Archdiocese of New Orleans’ Auxiliary Bishop Shelton Fabre led a prayer service Aug. 19 at the dedication of the Sister Lory Schaff Adult Learning Center in New Orleans. The center, run by the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and staffed by the Sisters of Notre Dame of Toledo and Congregation of St. Joseph, returned to its original location at 2601 Canal St.. It had been housed in Gentilly for the past few years. The center improves the literacy skills of adults to help them get their General Equivalency Diploma (GED) for high school and gain employment skills. Photo by Christine Bordelon | CLARION HERALD
