Summer Activities corrections, clarifications

    The following are corrections and clarifications of information published in the Clarion Herald’s Summer Activities supplement March 23:
Vacation Bible School
    Ascension of Our Lord, LaPlace, “Summertime Blast!” – June 10-14 from 12:30-3:30 p.m., for grades K-6th, registration $35, additional children $25, (985) 652-2615.
Camps Rainbow & Butterfly
    Jefferson Parish Department of Parks and Recreation offers two special needs camps, Camp Rainbow is for children ages 6-14 with developmental disabilities, held at Johnny Bright Playground in Metairie. Camp Butterfly is for ages 15-21, held at Pontiff Playground in Metairie. Each has two sessions held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. First session: June 3-28 (cost $350, with a $25 processing fee for first session); Second session: July 8-26 ($263). Cheerleading camp
    St. Scholastica Academy, Covington, June 11-14 from 1-4 p.m., for girls entering pre-K through 8th grade. Cost $100 per camper. Instructors are Audrey Pool, director, SPS Cheerleaders; Jennifer Keller Walkenford ’82, director, SSA Cheerleaders. Showoff performance June 14 at 4 p.m. Registration by May 20 (T-shirt not guaranteed after deadline.)
St. Philip Neri
    Summer CampTastic, “Live the Adventure,” Metairie, June 4-Aug. 3, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Rates $135/week for first child, $130/week for second child; $125/week for third child (Weekly rates apply regardless of how many days children can attend.) Registration fees $45 for 1 child, $60 for 2 children, $70 for 3 children. Before care 7-9 a.m. and after care 3:15-6 p.m. for $7 per day. Day care only will be available Aug. 6-10.
