St. Mary’s Dominican High School Lou Reilly award winners for the eighth-grade fall sports. This is an athlete who encourages those playing while she is not in the game, and while playing herself, gives her full effort at each moment.” The student athletes themselves have a nominating vote in the selection of the award, while the final decisions are left to the discretion of the coaches.

Eleven St. Mary’s Dominican High School students in Angelle Caffery’s Art II Honors and Art II AP classes were recognized at the regional level for the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for the Southwest Art Region-At-Large. Students receiving Gold Key awards continue to the national competition. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Through the Awards, students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication and scholarships.
