Father Herb Kiff, pastor of St. Rita Parish in Harahan, says a new monthly fellowship series for men – “Wild at Heart,” based on the book by John Eldredge – has been a catalyst for spiritual growth among his parishioners. (Click here for more photos.)
The program is held the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m., and men from across the archdiocese are welcome to attend.
“It’s teaching men how to get in touch with their masculinity in a very, very holy way,” Father Kiff said. “To be a Christian doesn’t mean you have to be a passive wimp. Christ was a man who commanded respect from fishermen, soldiers and rebels.”
Last month, the men discussed “The Poser,” sharing about ways in which they hide their true fears and weaknesses from those closest to them. Call 737-2915 for information.
The next session is May 3 at 7 p.m.
