St. Pius X to mark 60 years with Nov. 16 chapel blessing

    On Nov. 16, Archbishop Gregory Aymond will dedicate buildings on the Lake Vista campus of St. Pius X Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., in honor of Archbishop Philip M. Hannan and St. Pius X’s three former pastors: Fr. Michael J. Killoughey, Msgr. Arthur T. Screen and Msgr. Clinton J. Doskey.
    The dedication ceremony will culminate with the blessing of St. Pius X’s newly constructed Blessed Francis Seelos Prayer Chapel. A reception marking the parish’s 60th anniversary will follow in the Fr. A.T. Screen Gymnasium.
    St. Pius X School alumni, school parents, former and current parishioners and friends are invited to gather inside the gym at 10 a.m. for the start of the prayer service.
