St. Paul’s VEX Robotics team became state champions, winning best design and best programming skills at a competition at Holy Cross High School. The team is ranked seventh in the United States and 17th on the World Competition Circuit and placed 14th out of 596 teams in Louisville at the recent international meet. The VEX teams are in the Hornbeck Offshore Services Gateway to Technology Program. Julie Beck, a nationally recognized master teacher for the Gateway to Technology Program, and Marie Childs moderate robotics at St. Paul’s in Covington.
