Anticipation is high for the opening of the new school buildings of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Kenner. The school, now in its 34th year, will move this fall to the same site as its parish, Divine Mercy, located on Sal Lentini Parkway at Joe Yenni Boulevard in northwest Kenner.
Joan Kathmann, entering her 12th year as principal, said the new site is almost double the space of the old site, allowing for the addition of a second pre-kindergarten 2 classroom.
“It will have state-of-the-art technology, large specialty rooms including a science lab, library, music room, computer room and arts/multi-purpose room,” Kathmann said, adding to the school’s tradition of strong families, academics and faith formation.
A blessing by Archbishop Gregory Aymond is being planned.
