St. Christopher student receives altar server award

Katherine Heller, a sixth grader at St. Christopher School in Metairie, was recently awarded The Deacon Rodney Trahan Memorial Scholarship, valued at $500. The scholarship is awarded to an outstanding altar server at St. Christopher School and is made possible by the Trahan family in memory of one of the parish's beloved deacons, Rodney Trahan. It is also awarded in recognition of Catholic Schools Week. The presentation was made to Katherine by the Trahan family at Christopher School’s Catholic Schools Week Mass on Jan. 31.
