Sister of the Holy Faith Elizabeth (Liz) Curtis, who taught in several schools of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, died Jan. 24 in Fairfield, Calif. She was 67 and had served for 46 years in religious life.
Sister Liz served in archdiocesan schools from 1974-82, teaching at St. Louis de Marillac, Epiphany and St. Robert Bellarmine schools. She also ministered in American Samoa and in California in Los Angeles, Tiburon and Benicia. She was principal of Holy Spirit School in Fairfield, Calif., at the time of her death.
Sister Liz also was involved in parish outreach, especially visiting the sick and homebound.
Funeral services for Sister Liz were held at Holy Spirit Church, Fairfield, Calif., after which her remains were brought to Ireland for burial at the Holy Faith Motherhouse, Glasnevin, Dublin.
