At the recent Rummel Day activities on the Archbishop Rummel High School campus, 1971 alumnus John “Jay” Lauricella, posthumously received the school’s “Alumnus of the Year” award. Accepting the award for Lauricella was his sister, Sandy Lauricella Anzelmo (third from left). Others present were Sean Francioni, Archbishop Rummel advancement director (left); Tommy Anzelmo, her husband; Tommy Anzelmo Jr., their son; and Marvin Gresse, alumni association president. Lauricella was lauded for his admiration, support and involvement in Archbishop Rummel High School since his 1971 graduation.
During the annual Rummel Day program at Archbishop Rummel High School, school officials and alumni association officers recognized long-time faculty member Joey Boh as this year’s “Legacy Award” winner for his 36 years as a classroom teacher, athletic coach and avid school supporter.
