Wanting to strengthen the bond between our “family of Catholic schools” in the future, the Archdiocese of New Orleans has spent more than two years studying the 85 Catholic elementary and high schools in the archdiocese in order to formulate a strategic plan.
“Remembering Our Past; Building Our Future” is the implementation component of the strategic planning study conducted by the Center for the Advancement of Catholic Education at The Catholic University of America from January 2011 to June 2012.
“We’ve taken the recommendations and turned them into objectives with action plans to follow,” said Dr. Jan Lancaster, superintendent of the Office of Catholic Schools.
The plan and its implementation process were introduced May 6 to pastors, administrators and religious order school presidents who, throughout the entire process, were consulted and invited to make recommendations.
Parents and other parish and school representatives also were among the thousands who took part in the process.
