The School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans (SLC) invites principals and assistant principals from public, private, charter and parochial schools to submit applications for the 2014-15 Fellows Program, a job-embedded professional development program limited to only 30 applicants. The Fellows Program is designed to advance excellence in school administration.
Historically, Fellows’ schools outperform non-SLC schools on state measures of student achievement, according to SLC chief executive officer Dr. Brian Riedlinger. Applications are available online at www.slc-gno.org. The SLC Fellows Program starts with a week-long Summer Institute, wherein participants are immersed in setting their school’s academic direction and sustaining school change. This planning is then carried out within the school over a two-year period, using and analyzing data to lead school improvement.
This is fee-based professional development. For details, contact John Brown or Dr. Cissy LaForge at SLC-GNO.org or call 267-7243.
