As part of its centennial celebration, the University of Holy Cross is bringing The Saint John’s Bible to the Archdiocese of New Orleans for the first time.The Saint John’s Bible is a handwritten and illuminated Bible that has taken a team of scribes and artists more than a decade to complete in the tradition of handwritten medieval manuscripts. The Bible will be on display Nov. 7 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 4921 West Metairie Avenue, Metairie. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., followed by Mass at 6 p.m. Presentation and viewing of The Saint John’s Bible will follow.
