In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Blessed Virgin Mary performing the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, more than 8,000 groups around the United States will rally Oct. 13 at noon for public square rosaries. The prayer event is sponsored by America Needs Fatima, which aims to ask God through the Blessed Mother to save America through the rosary.

➤ St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6828 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans. Front parking lot. This parish also will hold a culminating rosary Oct. 30, with each decade of the rosary recited in a different language (Vietnamese, French, English and Spanish). Several area churches have committed to participate, but everyone is invited. 242-8820.
