Sister of the Holy Family Greta Jupiter, far right, was among a group from the Leadership Conference of Women Religious who gathered in Washington, D.C., recently to discuss ways to increase collaboration to better minister to survivors of human trafficking, educate the public on the issue and influence public policy. The group came up with two initiatives: creating a Google group to share resources and constructing a “virtual” underground railroad with two tracks. One track would symbolize jobs, and the other track would symbolize educational opportunities to assist victims of human trafficking. The group encouraged religious congregations to offer victims of human trafficking opportunities for work and education.
