End Distracted Driving, a national safety awareness program, was presented to Brother Martin High School students Feb. 7. More than 150,000 students in several states have participated in this program designed to change dangerous driving habits. Joel Feldman, Philadelphia attorney, and his wife Dianne Anderson, creators of End Distracted Driving; and guest speaker Roderick Alvendia, a New Orleans attorney who serves on the Council of Directors, Louisiana Association for Justice, spoke to students. Feldman and Anderson developed End Distracted Driving as a community outreach program after their 21-year-old daughter Casey was killed by a distracted driver in 2009. Brother Martin High School welcomed the speakers and encouraged students to learn more about the dangers of distracted driving.
