The family of Father Peter Weiss (June 26, 1951 to Jan. 12, 2022) would like to send this note to the parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church in New Orleans, the New Orleans Fire Department, the New Orleans FBI, students and staff of St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, and the bishops and priests of the Order of the Josephites (SSJ).
There are never enough words to express our gratitude for the sincere love shown for Peter. Peter’s passing was untimely, and he will be missed by all who loved him and looked to him for guidance.
Peter was the Lord’s shepherd, and he tended to his flock without complaint.
On behalf of myself, Aunt Elizabeth, cousin Bill Freeh and cousin Roy Weiss, we thank each and every one of you for your sincere caring and sympathy.
God bless you all.
Peter loved his Uncle John, my husband, and referred to him as his big, strong Uncle John since childhood. If John were alive today, I believe he would have said, “We have lost a big, strong-hearted and loving man that I was always proud to call my nephew.”
