➤ Confirmation saint: St. Michael
➤ Why did you choose this saint?: Michael is also my middle name. I thought it was cool, as a kid. Now, I beg his daily protection and guidance as a servant, leader and warrior.
➤ Favorite food: Every kind of Cajun-spiced seafood, gumbo, rice, sausage, etc.
➤ Favorite book: “A Father Who Keeps His Promises,” Scott Hahn and “And Now I See,” Father Robert Barron
➤ Favorite Movie: “The Ten Commandments,” Cecil B. DeMille’s 1956 Academy Award-winning epic
➤ Favorite TV Show: NCIS
➤ Favorite Feast of the Church: Conversion of Paul, Apostle
➤ Would you rather walk, run, bike or swim? I do all four but would prefer running long distances, particularly on a long backwoods trail in the mountains or along a lake in the early morning.
➤ Would you rather cook or go out to eat? I would rather cook.
➤ Would you rather vacation at the beach or in the mountains? I would definitely rather camp in the mountains; the Great Smokeys, Catskills, Rockies, Bavarian Alps, Appalachians, Cascades, Tetons and Blue Ridge Mountains. I have done them all and more. There’s nothing like a strong cup of New Orleans coffee and chicory on a cool crisp morning at dawn!
➤ What else would you like to share? I thank God for being home after leaving in 1975. I’ve seen and lived many, many places, but there’s no place like here in terms of the people. God has blessed me with wonderful experiences and relationships and lots of tribulations for good measure. I look forward to sharing my past and new life and serving old and new family and friends until the end.
