The Clarion Herald offers a pictorial overview of both the seminarians studying for the Archdiocese of New Orleans as well as the men and women from the archdiocese who are in formation with a religious community.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond asks Catholics to include these men and women in daily prayer that they may discern the call of God in their lives and persevere in that vocational calling.
A prayer that comes to mind is the one used by Serra clubs worldwide as they pray for vocations. Here is that prayer to Blessed Junipero Serra:
O God, Who will not the death of a sinner but rather that he be converted and live, grant we beseech you, through the intercession of the Blessed Mary ever Virgin, Saint Joseph, her spouse, Blessed Junipero Serra, and all the saints, an increase of laborers for your Church, fellow laborers with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
(Please note: In cases where a person’s parish affiliation is not listed, it is because the person originally came from outside the archdiocese.)
