Academy of the Sacred Heart’s Mary Nusloch has earned First Team All-American honors in cross country by running under the 3-Mile Gold Standard time of 18:05. She achieved a time of 17:59.83 on an AAU-certified course at the Northshore Metro Championships in Hammond this past fall.
Nusloch is one of two athletes in Louisiana to earn this honor in cross country and is the sixth athlete in Sacred Heart history to earn All-American honors in any sport. She has been part of the cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field programs since the sixth grade and has captured eight state championship titles and four runner-up titles between the two sports.
