In dedicating the new Archdiocese of New Orleans Northshore Pastoral Center on Feb. 15, Archbishop Gregory Aymond said the 6,800-square-foot facility in Covington would serve to “symbolize the mission and ministry that we embrace as a local church.” Located at 69090 Highway 190 East Service Road, the center will be the home of Catholic Charities on the northshore and provide ample space for meetings and other services. The archbishop told the center’s director, Craig Marinello, below, that he plans to make frequent use of the facility. He said northshore pastors had advocated for the facility. “The pastors on the northshore have worked very much in solidarity and collaboration,” Archbishop Aymond said. “They were the dreamers.”
While Catholic Charities is the major tenant, various archdiocesan offices will rotate staff members at the center during the week. For more information on the Northshore Pastoral Center, contact Marinello at (985) 605-5840 or nspastoralcenter@archdiocese-no.org.
