Tri-M is a Music Honor Society developed to motivate students, recognize their efforts and honor their accomplishments. Candidates for membership are chosen from students currently enrolled in the music department, who meet the following requirements: must have been enrolled in a music ensemble and/or class for two semesters; be of outstanding character and exhibit a good attitude; maintain a 3.5 GPA in music with at least a 3.2 overall GPA.
Twenty service hours are required to maintain membership. Candidates who accept membership become apprentices for four weeks. During this time, apprentices are required to prepare to perform an approved vocal or instrumental solo or small ensemble before chapter members at induction. Brenda Castillo is Tri-M moderator.
