A training retreat for those interested in facilitating the Ignatian prayer series “Lord, Teach Me to Pray” will be held Jan. 4 at St. Pius X Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd. in New Orleans.
The retreat, entitled “Praying Christian Virtues,” will begin at 8 a.m. with Mass in the church, followed by the retreat through 4 p.m. in St. Pius’ Multi-Purpose Room.
Dominican Father Marty Gleeson and John and Carol Weiler will facilitate the retreat, which is designed for those who might be prayerfully discerning whether to become leaders of small prayer groups in their parishes or who simply want to learn more about developing a more intimate relationship with the Lord through Ignatian prayer.
There is no charge for the retreat or the materials, but participants are asked to register in advance by contacting Dianne Caverly at 283-9292 or emailing Caverly at dlcaverly@gmail.com. Please bring a sack lunch, drink and snacks.
