On April 24, a tornado sliced through parts of East Jefferson including Metairie and Kenner. The parish is in the process of working with the Building Office of the Archdiocese of New Orleans to repair the damage.
St. David Parish has Friends and Family Day
On Divine Mercy Sunday, St. David Catholic Church held a “Friends and Family Day” April 7 in conjunction with the Archdiocese of New Orleans Year of Family and Faith. Parishioners were encouraged to invite their family, friends, neighbors and those seeking a church home to 10 a.m. Mass, where Josephite Father Oswald Pierre-Jules reflected the importance of family and the message of peace found in the Holy Scriptures. Fellowship followed in the parish hall.
