The Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM) will host a morning of prayer and reflection Nov. 2 with a creation-centered focus informed by the work of the late Passionist Father Thomas Berry, a noted cultural historian, ecologist and theologian.
The retreat, entitled “A Mutually Enhancing Relationship with the Natural World,” is the first of five LIM retreats planned on Father Berry’s lectures and work.
It will run from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. in the Audubon Room of the Danna Student Center, Loyola University New Orleans. Coffee and pastries will be served beginning at 9 a.m. Free parking is available in West Road Garage.
The retreat takes its inspiration from videos and other materials associated with Father Berry that have been gathered by Kathleen O’Gorman, LIM emerita professor. Father Berry died in 2009.
Participants are asked to register online at http://cnh.loyno.edu/lim.
