“FIRE” Nights (Family Involved Religious Education) made a smashing debut Sept. 10 at Holy Family Church in Luling, with 350 men, women and children flocking to age-appropriate faith tracks and dinner.
Father Stephen Dardis, pastor, invites parishioners and friends of all ages to join in the catechetical program. Among the best perks for young families is free babysitting provided by volunteers.
Participants also can choose to attend on a Sunday or a Monday night (from 6 to 8 p.m.) for the once-a-month session. The parish requires advance RSVPs to prepare enough food. The next session is set for Oct. 8 or 9. Go to holyfamilychurchluling.com.
