Archbishop Gregory Aymond will officiate at the blessing of palms April 1 at 10:50 a.m. outside St. Louis Cathedral to open the observance of Holy Week, followed by a procession into the cathedral for the 11 a.m. Mass. There will also be a 5 p.m. vigil Mass on Saturday and a 9 a.m. Mass on Palm Sunday.
On Monday and Wednesday of Holy Week, Masses will be at 7:30 a.m. and noon. Confessions will be heard from 11 to 11:45 a.m. On April 3, Mass will be at 7:30 a.m., and the Mass of Blessing of the Oils and Consecration of the Holy Chrism will be celebrated by Archbishop Aymond at 10 a.m. Morning prayer will be said on Holy Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
On Holy Thursday, Archbishop Aymond will celebrate the 7 p.m. Mass in commemoration of the Lord’s Last Supper, followed by a procession to the repository and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament until 9:30 p.m. On Good Friday, Stations of the Cross will be held at noon, followed by confessions from 1 to 2:30 p.m. At 3 p.m., Archbishop Aymond will preside at the Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death, including veneration of the cross and holy Communion.
On Holy Saturday, Archbishop Aymond will preside at the Easter Vigil at 8 p.m., beginning with the blessing of the new fire and the lighting of the Paschal candle outside the cathedral.
On Easter Sunday, Archbishop Aymond will celebrate the Mass of the Risen Christ at 11 a.m. Other Easter Masses will be at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
➤ Immaculate Conception Church (Jesuit), 130 Baronne St.: Palm Sunday Vigil Mass will be on Saturday at 4 p.m., preceded by confessions from 3 to 4 p.m., and will include blessing of palms. Palm Sunday Masses will be at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The evening Mass will be preceded by confessions from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
On Monday through Wednesday of Holy Week, Masses will be at 7:30 a.m. and noon; confessions from 11 a.m. to noon.
On Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper will be at 6 p.m., followed by adoration until 8:30 p.m. On Good Friday, the church will open at 7 a.m. for veneration of a relic of the true cross. Morning prayer will be held in Lenes Hall at 8 a.m. Stations of the Cross will be at noon. Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion will be at 3 p.m. Confessions from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. On Holy Saturday, morning prayer will be in the church at 8 a.m. The Easter Vigil will be celebrated at 8 p.m. Masses on Easter Sunday will be at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Rampart St.: Palm Sunday Vigil Mass will be at 4 p.m. Palm Sunday Masses are at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. (Spanish) and 6 p.m. Holy Thursday, Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7 p.m. Good Friday services include Stations of the Cross at noon and Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion at 3 p.m., with confessions from 10 a.m. to noon. Confessions on Holy Saturday will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The Easter Vigil Mass is at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Masses on Easter Sunday are at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. (Spanish) and 6 p.m.
➤ St. Joseph Church, 1802 Tulane Ave.: Blessing of the palms will be at the 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Masses. On Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper will be at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, services begin at 3 p.m. The Easter Vigil Mass will be at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, with Easter Sunday Mass at 10 a.m.
➤ St. Patrick Church, 724 Camp St.: Palm Sunday Vigil Masses will be at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Palms will be blessed at the beginning of the 4 p.m. Vigil Mass. Palm Sunday Masses will be at 8, 9:15 (Latin Mass) and 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The 11 a.m. Solemn Mass will be preceded by a blessing of palms.
Monday through Wednesday of Holy Week, Masses are at 11:30 a.m. and noon. On Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper will be at 7:30 p.m., followed by watch of the altar of repose until midnight. St. Patrick Church will open at 7:30 a.m. on Good Friday for visitation. At noon, the Stations of the Cross will be held. The Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion will be celebrated at 3 p.m. At all services on Good Friday, there will be a blessing with the relic of the true cross.
On Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil Mass will begin at 8 p.m. The Masses on Easter Sunday will be at 7:30, 9 (Solemn High Mass in Latin) and 11 a.m. (procession and Solemn Mass in English), and 5:30 p.m. Confessions will be heard before all Holy Week Masses.
➤ St. John the Baptist Church, 1139 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.: The church will be open Good Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Holy Saturday, a pious devotion will be from 9 to 11 a.m.
