The 27th Annual Greater New Orleans Rosary Congress, celebrating the centennial of Our Lady of Fatima, will be held Oct. 7-13 at St. Rita Church in Harahan, 7100 Jefferson Highway.
The rosary congress, dedicated to the intention of life, reparation and peace in the city, nation and world, has been held in the Archdiocese of New Orleans since 1990. It originated in Poland during the pontificate of Pope John Paul II and was held for the first time in the U.S. in 1988 at the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.
With the exception of the opening Mass on Oct. 7, music will begin each night at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. Mass.
