To: Clergy, Religious and Laity in the Archdiocese of New Orleans
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
Our sisters and brothers in the Dioceses of Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles have been greatly affected by the recent flooding. Lives have been taken, homes and personal possessions have been destroyed. Now they must face the challenge of rebuilding their lives, with the help of God.
Many in our archdiocese have experienced such tragedies. In such times we lean on the Lord and accept help from others.
Please join me in daily prayer for our neighbors.
If you wish to give a gift to help them, please send it to me at: 7887 Walmsley Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70125 and I will forward it to the local bishop.
Thanks for your prayers and the care you extend to our sisters and brothers in this time of great need.
Wishing you God’s blessings, and with gratitude for your generosity, I am
Sincerely in Christ,
Most Rev. Gregory M. Aymond
Archbishop of New Orleans
