The finalists in the presidential search at Our Lady of Holy Cross College (OLHCC) have been announced, according to Interim President Dr. Myles Seghers. Three finalists remain from a list of seven semi-final candidates. The three were selected from an original applicant pool of approximately 37, which was winnowed to 7 semi-finalists by a 13-member Search Committee.
The three are scheduled for separate two-day campus visits later this month, during which a series of interview forums open to students, staff, faculty and other members of the college community will be conducted. “Our goal is for the Search Committee members, in part working with feedback from these visits, to make their recommendation to the Board of Regents by the end of March,” said Seghers. The anticipated date for the selected candidate to assume office is July 2012. R.H. Perry and Associates, a higher education executive search firm based in Washington, D.C., is assisting the College in conducting the search.

Faculty, staff and student representatives comprise the Search Committee as well as members of the Board of Regents. Dr. Seghers and the congregational leader of the Marianites (the religious order which founded the College as a Ministry of the Marianites of Holy Cross in 1916) serve ex-officio. The search began in November 2011.
Our Lady of Holy Cross College (OLHCC), founded as a two-year Normal School, today is a private, Catholic liberal arts institution serving nearly 1250 undergraduate and graduate students. The College is one of eight Holy Cross institutions nationwide and is the only four-year college on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana.
