NAHS members and student preachers Maggie Duplantier and Chloe Dusang shared their reflections on Pope St. John Paul II’s “Letter to Artists.” The school’s fine arts faculty, as part of their STREAM™ seminar, covered the letter. Dominican president Dr. Cynthia Thomas called the evening, “a wonderful representation of what Dominican is trying to accomplish with the STREAM™ initiative – a real integration of our faith into all aspects of our students’ lives and learning.”
NAHS, designed for students in grades 9-12, was established in 1978 by the National Art Education Association to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
