(Above) St. Mary’s Dominican High School’s head volleyball coach Jessica Chatellier was named Division I Coach of the Year by the Louisiana Volleyball Coaches Association (LVCA), and team members Elizabeth Hardouin, Kate Baker and Olivia Peyton were named to the LVCA All-State Team. Baker and Peyton also were also named to the Clarion Herald Elite Volleyball team. LVCA members nominate up to four of their athletes for All-State and nominate a coach of the year and a player of the year for each division. Fifty athletes from the state receive All-State and one coach from each division is selected. Honorees will be saluted at a banquet in Baton Rouge on Jan. 12. Over the past 17 years at Dominican, Chatellier has 350 wins at Dominican. She has coached volleyball for 13 seasons. From 2003-09 she was volleyball coach, and the following four years was golf coach and Student Council moderator. She returned to coach volleyball during the 2014-15 school year.
