National Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated Jan. 28-Feb. 1. The Office of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of New Orleans will host the Arts and Music Festival at Lakeside Mall March 18-23.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond will be the principal celebrant of the Catholic Schools Week Mass at St. Dominic Church on Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. During the Mass, the office will present the Distinguished Graduate Award to an outstanding alumnus and alumna of Catholic schools.
The Catholic Schools Arts and Music Festival will include a display of Catholic students’ artwork as well as music and dance performances by Catholic schools. Art teachers or coordinators who work at an archdiocesan school are needed for the Arts and Music Festival Committee. To volunteer, call Melissa Gurdian at mgurdian@arch-no.org or 861-6235.
