Dozens of people gathered in Madisonville recently as part of the national Cry Out America program, using the passage from the Book of Joel (1:14): “Proclaim a holy fast! Call an assembly! Gather the elders, all who dwell in the land, To the house of the LORD, your God, and cry out to the LORD!”
Leslie Bertucci and Pete Giacone, owner of Skooters Grill & Yogurt, hosted an hour of praise, worship and prayer for the community and the nation.
The program included worship songs, a presentation of the American flag by a Boy Scout color guard, the pledge of allegiance, national anthem and prayers for the government, military, media, church, family and business.
