The Scholarship Committee of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in New Orleans awarded $1,000 college scholarships to 10 recent high school graduates.
The scholarships, funded by parishioners and sponsors, were presented during the 9:30 a.m. Mass on June 16.
The 2024 scholarship recipients are Madisyn Allen, Edna Karr High School; Chris Baudy, The Willow School New Orleans; Gloria Gutierrez, Morris Jeff High School; Jayden Hall, Brother Martin High School; Emrick O'Neil, St. Augustine High School; Emily Osorio Quintos, Frederick A. Douglass High School and Bard Early College of New Orleans; Isiah Petty, St. Augustine High School; Gabriel Pizzolatto, The Willow School New Orleans; Skylah Wilson, Cabrini High School; and Nathan Wiseman, Jesuit High School.
Parishioners sponsoring scholarships this year included Dr. Donaldo Batiste, Diane Barnes, Catherine “Michie” Bissell, Jackie Brice, Mallory Clark, Ashley Clark, Dr. Rachel Clark Caldwell, Paul and Kathleen Costello, Gary and Kathryn Giepert, Greer Jackson, Victoria Loubiere, Nancy Morley, Carolyn Perry, Keith Price, Samara Poché and Eddie Selby, Gabrielle Pointer and Donna Voros.
