Children’s rosary group at St. Joseph fills void

Friends and ardent Catholics Mireya Goodwyne and Mary Grace Orsag had an idea recently. They wanted to unite parents and children in a lay prayer movement where the children would take the lead.

On May 3, the duo held their first children’s rosary at St. Joseph Church and Shrine on the West Bank in Gretna. Since then, it has been recited every other Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
