Chef John Besh and Tommy Cvitanovich of Drago’s Restaurant will be the featured speakers on the theme “Food for the Soul” March 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 19th Morning of Spirituality for Men at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 4640 Canal St., New Orleans.
The men’s gathering is sponsored the Catholic Men’s Fellowship. Besh, who operates several restaurants in the metropolitan New Orleans area, and Cvitanovich, who runs restaurants in Metairie and New Orleans, will speak on how their Catholic faith has guided their professional and personal lives.
Both men were heavily involved in feeding first-responders and others who were returning to their homes after Hurricane Katrina.
Free coffee and donuts will be available beginning at 8:15 a.m. The gathering will conclude with a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available.
