KUDOS
CABRINI, Sydney Loupe, a recent Louisiana State University softball player, has been named Cabrini’s head softball coach for the 2018-19 school year. She was a four-year letter winner on Pope John Paul II High School’s softball team, accruing a 51-32-1 record during her prep career, winning the co-district championship in 2013, 2014. She was a three-time, first-team all-district athlete in 2012, 2013 and 2014, while earning all-metro and all-state first team honors as the catcher in 2014. Loupe made her first appearance at LSU during her freshman season and one appearance as a sophomore. During her junior season, she played in nine games for the Tigers and scored three runs, including a run in the three-game victory over UL-Lafayette that helped propel LSU into the Tallahassee Super Regional. Loupe is studying sports administration and will graduate from LSU in December 2018.
