FETE-DIEU DU MISSISSIPPI procession will begin Aug. 14, 8 a.m. with a Votive Mass of the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Baton Rouge Bishop Michael Duca at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Baton Rouge. The procession follows the Mass with the Blessed Sacrament to the Mississippi River, where the 130-mile procession and blessing will continue downriver to New Orleans. The flotilla is scheduled to arrive Aug. 15 at approximately 4:30 p.m., with benediction on the levee at 5:15 p.m., followed by a procession into St. Louis Cathedral for a final blessing and a Mass of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond.
