RITA, Home and School Association (Harahan), celebrates Nutrition Month March 19-23, with an OrganWise Guy characters presentation March 21 with prizes to teach kindergarten and first grade students about good nutrition, physical activity and overall healthy lifestyles during their PE classes. On March 23, water and bananas will be distributed after lunch to all students. 737-0744.
BROTHER MARTIN HIGH SCHOOL, Lenten Friday Night Fish Fry, sponsored by the Brother Martin Parents, March 23, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Seafood dinners, po-boys, crawfish, desserts and drinks sold. Both dine-in and curbside pick-up. Cash, checks, credit/debit cards accepted. Entertainment: The Dionysians/Drama Club will perform the variety show, “Music for the Missions,” and an art show from the Art and Design club. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS PROCESSION, Palm Sunday, March 25, Knights of Columbus Archbishop Blenk Council 1905 will escort a procession from the Jefferson Memorial Arch on the Commons at Huey P. Long Avenue between 1st and 2nd streets to St. Joseph Church, in celebration of its 100th anniversary. Participants can gather at 6:30 a.m., with the procession beginning at 7 a.m. to arrive at the church for 7:30 a.m. Mass. The KCs, led by Grand Knight Glenn F. Esteve will detour to parade in front of the original KC Hall on the corner of Newton and Third streets.
