SECOND COLLECTION FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS will be taken in all parishes the weekend of Jan. 29-30, in celebration of Catholic Schools Week the last week of January.
2022 CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL, “Faith. Excellence. Service.” Jan. 31-Feb. 3, under the Veterans skylight at Lakeside Shopping Center. Catholic elementary and high school student art will be on display. The festival’s live component of performances by Catholic school choirs, orchestras, dancers and cheerleaders will return this year. The archdiocese’s celebration of Catholic Schools week will culminate Feb. 4 with a 10 a.m. Mass celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond at St. Ann Church in Metairie. To manage the size of the congregation, church entry will be limited to representatives from each school.
