ST. MARY’S DOMINICAN HIGH SCHOOL, 20th annual Breakfast with Baby Jesus on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon in Alumnae Hall. Dominican’s Drama Club. will present a live Nativity;  storytelling with Mrs. Claus;  several make-a-craft stations for children, Santa photos, elves,  holiday songs with the Dominican Choir and president Dr. Cynthia Thomas leading in song before a birthday cake is cut. ST. PIUS X, Nativity play by seventh graders and school Christmas concert, Dec. 13, following the school Mass. The school choir will present its Christmas concert in the gym Dec. 14,  9:15 a.m. 6660 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans. All are welcomed.

RITE OF THE BLESSING OF A CHILD IN THE WOMB, Jan. 21, 9:30 a.m. Mass. Expectant families awaiting the birth of their child are invited to receive a special “Blessing of a Child in the Womb” at St. Peter Church in Covington. The Rite observes that the blessing of an unborn child “sustains the parents by imparting grace and comfort in time of concern and need, unites the parish in prayer for the unborn child, and fosters respect for human life within society.” Reserved seating available for expectant families.
