More than half of the 32 Cabrini High School students who competed in the Literary District Rally qualified to the State Literary Rally competition April 1 at Louisiana State University. Advancing to state competition were first-place finishers: senior Hannah Brayden, business computer app; and juniors Taylor Rogge, accounting; and Marielle Scott, psychology. Second-place finishers were fFreshmen Jianna Collins, Spanish III; Victoria Duke, Spanish II; and Katie Heller, Biology 1; seniors Kristen Lonsberry, Calculus 1; Marie Polk, Biology II; and freshman Savannah Schenck, French II. Third-place finishers including freshman Caroline Allen, civics; junior Bailey Chauvin, Journalism I; sophomores Sydnee Glass, Spanish IV; Abigail Markey, English III; junior Megan Nelson, fine arts survey; freshmen Mary Roach, English I; Cydney St. Junior, health; and sophomore Karen Vo, chemistry. District and State Rally moderator Velinda Mascorro’89 and chaperone Anne Jeanmard, attended the annual Literary District Rally at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.
