On Saturday, May 20, the Cabrini High School Class of 1967 celebrated their 50-year class reunion almost exactly 50 years to the date of their graduation from Cabrini on May 21, 1967.
The reunion began with a 2 p.m. prayer service lead by Deacon Uriel Durr, the school’s chaplain, where they recited the novena in honor of Mother Cabrini. The ladies shared their favorite stories, photos and their favorite bottles of wine. One classmate even brought her gym romper from 1967 and all of her classmates signed it in honor of the reunion.
Those in attendance included: Lynne Daspit Pierce, Suzanne Ledet Painter, Brenda Tortorice Hurley, Carol Ruth Chouest, Margie Apffel Daspit, Dolinda Werling Baye, Joann Caruso Schneller, Jeanne Daigle Dufrene, Eileen Troxler Provensal, Deborah Bresette Alciatore-Empery, Jan Lots Cannon, Joy Meadow Vullo, Connie Morales Glorioso, Christine Lucas Bandera, Adrienne St. Pierre Dormody, Cheryl Wise Dwyer, Margie Huner, Kathy Kilgore, Cindy Ockoa Moscona and Susan Arrigo Pratt.
The event was held in Alumnae Hall in the Esplanade Building of Cabrini High School which was originally built as an orphanage in 1905.
