The Saint Scholastica Academy Benedictine players had an amazing year with their production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” April 10-13 at the St. Joseph’s Seminary College Theater.
The show was truly magical, from the costumes, to the sets and the actor portrayals; everything transported me to France with Belle and the Beast. Adults and children alike enjoyed the iconic story, many silently singing the songs along with an outstanding cast.
Belle was played by junior Kate Zenor, and the Beast was portrayed by St. Paul’s School sophomore Thomas Williamson. The cast impressed audience members and was stopped many times after the show to take pictures with fans.
“‘Beauty and the Beast’ was such an amazing growing experience for me,” Kate said. “I got to play a part that I never dreamed I could play and never could have pulled it off without the support of my director, family and friends. I made such fantastic friends and now have memories that I will cherish forever.”
Experiencing Disney’s beloved story was special for performers and viewers alike. The SSA community is blessed to have such an amazing group of actors and we are looking forward to what they have in store next year.
