The St. Augustine “Marching 100” band, shown at the school’s recent football game against East Jefferson, was one of the featured attractions at the traditional St. Martin’s-Country Day game the evening of Nov. 4. “The band marched down the street at about 6:15, then performed a pre-game show for us,” said St. Martin’s athletic director and football coach Frank Cazeaux. “They also did the halftime show and stayed after the game to play even more.” St. Martin’s, a Class 1A school, does not have a band. “St. Augustine asked for $2,000 to appear. We gave them $2,500,” Cazeaux said.
