Archbishop Gregory Aymond is collecting emergency relief funds for all those affected by Hurricane Michael.
Financial gifts may be sent directly to the Archdiocese of New Orleans, 7887 Walmsley Ave., New Orleans, LA 70125. These gifts will go directly to those most in need.
Archbishop Aymond has asked for daily prayers for those who have died and those who have lost homes and property. He said: “May Our Lady of Prompt Succor continue to pray for us and all those in the Gulf Coast during this hurricane season.”
Second Harvest’s relief wish list
Second Harvest Food Bank of Acadiana and South Louisiana is collecting disaster supplies to both help replenish supplies we sent to North Carolina Florence victims and to be used in responding to Hurricane Michael.
The public can also make a monetary donation to a fund that Second Harvest will distribute to partner Feeding America food banks in the areas impacted by Hurricane Michael at www.no-hunger.org/hurricanemichael.
“We are so thankful for the support south Louisiana has received over the years from the public and other food banks around the country in our times of need,” said Second Harvest president and CEO Natalie Jayroe. “We are honored to be able to help repay their favor and kindness by supporting our neighbors during this difficult time.”

Drop-off locations and information in the New Orleans area are at Second Harvest Food Bank, 700 Edwards Ave., Harahan, 70123, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
